The design is based on resonant characteristics of coplanar waveguide (CPW) interdigital capacitive resonators. The fabricated antenna has been operated from 1.83 GHz to 8.8 GHz with return loss S11 <; -10 dB. The experimental results of the fabricated antenna agree very well with simulation expectations using IE3D package.
