It is tantalizing to imagine what the future may hold: interactive augmented reality, portable light-field cameras, accurate gesture recognition, mobile visual search, mobile health monitoring and diagnosing, and using embedded nano-projectors to turn arbitrary surfaces into displays-all of which require solving challenging signal processing problems.
