Hybrid multi-resolution analysis of antenna-coupled electromagnetic interference for large, resonant structures
A multi-resolution technique for analyzing antenna-coupled EMI for large, resonant structures such as aircraft is presented. A simulation model is postulated and results are described qualitatively. A series of computerized analytic and numeric solutions are applied in stages, providing for multiple degrees of simulation fidelity to predict the EMI between VHF and UHF antennas on a complex structure. The complexity of the model evolves from one that is relatively conservative to one that is gradually more detailed and complex, allowing one to first analyze a large, complex system of radiators and scatterers efficiently to identify incompatibilities using approximate analytic methods. Rigorous techniques are then applied to accurately analyze critical problem areas in a selective way
