Perception Experiment of Rotary-Induced Movement in Various Types of Pyramids
Cone contouring is similar to that of a wedge, and has traits such as slanting lines, angles, and directionality. According to a kinematics viewpoint, it can form a sense of sensation that points to the tip. If it re-use the mutual factors of the angled continuous lines and rotational motion of the forming surface, the dynamic perception effect that makes continuous lines rise up synchronously and upwardly, and this dynamic bizarre effect with rising is a perceptual phenomenon that induced movement. In order to investigate the mutual relationship among pyramids, rotational speed and induced movement, this study investigated the different pyramids change whether influence, as well as the relationship among induced movement, pyramid, and rotational speed from the perspective of the appearing angles of the rotational speed threshold boundary line by using adjustment methods. The reseaerch found, different pyramids with varying various speeds, it will influence the strength of the “line afterimage” and “zigzag line phenomena,” as well as the formation and appearing of induced movement. The cone is the optimal design for creating dynamic optical illusions for induced movement.
