Even though China begin to pay attention to standard strategy, in practice there are many problems need to be solve or harmonize. This article, utilizing a qualitative methodology, studies the R&D and patents standardization activities of nine representative optoelectronic information companies in Wuhan, and identifies factors that influence independent patents standardization. These factors we find in this article, from one perspective, explain the determinants of patents standardization.
