Proactive Personality and Job Performance: Test of the Mediating Effects of Motivation in Service Industry
This study examined a mediated model of the relationship between proactive personality and job performance (N=131). The model suggests that proactive personality was correlated with contextual performance, and proactive employees were more likely to be motivated by status striving, which, in turn, enabled them to perform better in contextual performance.
