An ISDN solution for heterogeneous PBX networking

The Alcatel multiservice private network architecture enables a company to obtain the unrestricted benefit of all services offered by an in-house ISDN, irrespective of its geographical structure. Based on a particulary rich signalling protocol, de- signed in the ISDN context, this architecture provides a set of technical solutions which guarantee the evolutivity of the network, while optimizing the links established between the different nodes, and maintaining the homogeneity of the features available to the user. Implemented over a ten year period of time, Alcatel's program has evolved from a homogeneous solution allowing inter- connection of PBXs from the OPUS4000 product line, to an open, ISDN solution, allowing heterogeneous ISPBX networking using the Alcatel Business Communications (ABC) protocol.
