Global crisis and economic crashes due to COVID-19 pandemic (comparative research of the EU South-East countries)
The world is experiencing an unprecedented crisis that is causing chaos in the global economy, disrupting supply chains, and transforming society. The new reality is accelerating business model transformation at a faster pace than ever before to ensure existential survival in a crisis for which no one was prepared. The aim of the study is to identify the variations of the impact of COVID-19 pandemic over the EU South-East Countries, i.e., Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, and Slovenia. We focus on finding dependencies among some economic indicators, measures, and results. Empirical data collected from International quantitative studies conducted by various organizations are the arrays on which secondary data processing was performed. For this investigation, several information arrays have been selected. Eurostat and Eurobarometer data, Portal of the European Commission for COVID-19 data sharing were used for the evaluation of the pandemic overall impact during the period under review. © 2022 Author(s).
