Coupling free electrons and light at high-Q integrated photonics microresonators
We observe the efficient coupling of free electrons to the optical mode of a chip-integrated high-Q Si3N4 microresonator. This enables strong stimulated inelastic scattering for continuous optical pumping and photon generation for an empty cavity.
