Parallel readout of a photodiode array in a scintillating fibre calorimeter
In this paper results from a prototype calorimeter built in connection with the development of a new calorimeter for the H1 detector at the HERA collider are reported. The prototype was constructed as a lead-fibre calorimeter where the fibers were read out with an array of discrete photodiodes connected to conventional preamplifiers built with discrete electronics.
