DIREITOS HUMANOS E A ATUAÇÃO DA POLÍCIA MILITAR BRASILEIRA: O INIMIGO AGORA É OUTRO

This article has as general objective to discuss the difficulties of guiding police action in Brazil in the promotion/preservation of human rights. In these terms, the extent to which the enemy's criminal law, symbolic and emergency theories influence this difficulty is debated. It works with the hypothesis that it is urgent to supplant the colonialism that involves human rights, that is, it recovers the need to think-act with the motto aligned with the historical-geographic-anthropological context positioned in the Global South. It is estimated that the Brazilian police work in a context of high belligerence, which is the result, among other factors
