Vehicular Clouds (VC) was inspired by the realization that the current vehicles are endowed with powerful sensing devices, storage, and computing resources and these resources are often underutilized. In this paper, we provide the reasoning for a communication protocol for vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications in Vehicular Cloud Computing systems.
