A new species of the genus Doliopteryx Hesse (Diptera: Mythicomyiidae: Glabellulinae) from southern Iran
Two specimens of the genus Doliopteryx Hesse, 1956, were collected from the southern Iran (Kerman province) by white pan trapping and the new species discovered is named Doliopteryx acuminatis sp. n. This new species is easily separated from the two other Iranian species
by its long acuminate first antennal flagellomere. Description and the diagnostic features of Doliopteryx acuminatis sp. n. are presented. A key to species of the genus in Iran is provided.
