The degree of awareness of biology teacher’s in Secondary in Schools in Ibb Governorate of Scientific and Engineering Practices in accordance with the NGSS Science standards and the obstacles to their implementation from their point of view

The studying aimed at identifying the degree of biologists at secondary schools in the province of scientific and engineering practices, according to the NGS science standards and constraints implemented from their point of view. The design of the descriptive approach was used in a survey. The design of axis: The first is for the awareness of neighborhood teachers with scientific and engineering practices and is 47 in the process of 8 practices and the second obstacles to this application Practices and began from 25 composed of 4 areas applied to the same 112 teachers and teachers in the secondary school in the schools of Abu. The studying showed the degree of knowledge awareness of scientific and engineering practices on an average of (2.09) from 5 to a low degree. There are also no statistical differences at an indication level of 0.05 attributed for years of experience, training courses and type. There have been no obstacles to the implementation of these practices from a high degree of living teachers at an average of (3.26) a great appreciation. In the light of the results, the researcher recommended the provision of textbook, materials and educational sources and training of school principals and teachers regularly and to pay their salaries as well as proposals for supplementary studies in the subject Keywords: Biological teacher's awareness Scientific and engineering Practices الملخص بالعربية: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على درجة وعي معلمي الأحياء في المرحلة الثانوية بالممارسات العلمية والهندسية وفق الجيل الجديد لمعايير العلوم(NGSS)، استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي بأسلوب المسح، ولتحقيق غرض الدراسة تم تصميم استبانة من محورين؛ الأولى لمعرفة درجة وعي معلمي الأحياء بالممارسات العلمية والهندسية وتكونت من (37) عبارة موزعة على ثمان ممارسات، والثاني معوقات تطبيق هذه الممارسات وتكونت 25 عبارة موزعة على 4 مجالات؛ تم تطبيقها على عينة من (112) معلما ومعلمة بالمرحلة الثانوية في مدارس محافظة إب، أظهرت نتائج الدراسة، حصول درجة وعي المعلمين بالممارسات العلمية والهندسية على متوسط كلي (2.09 من 5)، أي بدرجة (منخفضة) كما أظهرت عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً عند مستوى دلالة (α≤0.05) تعزى لسنوات الخبرة، الدورات التدريبية، والنوع، كما أظهرت وجود معوقات لتنفيذ هذه الممارسات من وجهة نظر معلمي الأحياء بدرجة عالية بمتوسط (3.26) أي بتقدير (كبير) وتمثلت بالترتيب في الكتاب المدرسي والمواد والمصادر التعليمية، إدارة المدرسة، المعلم والتربية المهنية، المشرف التربوي وزملاء المهنة، وفي ضوء النتائج أوصت الباحثة بتوفير الكتاب المدرسي والمواد والمصادر التعليمية، وتدريب مدراء المدارس والمعلمين ودفع مرتباتهم بانتظام إضافة إلى مقترحات بدراسات مكملة في الموضوع. الكلمات المفتاحية: وعي معلمي الأحياء، الممارسات العلمية والهندسية، الجيل الجديد لمعايير العلوم، المعوقات
