The proposed method needs only 2N+1 complex multiplications and 2N-1 complex additions, where N is the number of antennas in the array. We evaluate the performance of the proposed method in estimating the angle-of-arrival (AOA) of the desired signal and in producing the array beam pattern. Moreover, the performance of the proposed method in alleviating the probability of bit error in both fading and non-fading channel is verified.
