The range resolution of an FMCW radar system is limited by the bandwidth of the transmitted signal. By using high resolution methods such as the Matrix Pencil Method (MPM) it is possible to enhance the resolution. In this paper a new method to obtain a better resolution for FMCW radar systems is used. This new method is based on the MPM and is enhanced to require less computing power. To evaluate this new technique, simulations and measurements are used.
