By maximizing the generalized Versoria function, the steady state misalignment can be eliminated and computational efforts can also be reduced. The paper proposes use of maximum Versoria criteria (MVC) for evaluation of active and reactive power component of load current, for generating the reference signals for DSTATCOM for power quality intensification of the power grid. MVC algorithm also shows robustness against impulsive noises present in the power grid. The paper shows the implementation of MVC control algorithm for DSTATCOM to elimination the harmonics, reactive power compensation and load balancing.
