An efficient stopword removal technique is required in all text processing tasks. In this paper, we are proposing a stopword removal algorithm for Hindi Language which is using the concept of a Deterministic Finite Automata (DFA). A large number of available works on stopword removal techniques are based on dictionary containing stopword lists. Then pattern matching technique is applied and the matched patterns, which is a stopword, is removed from the document. It is a time consuming task as searching process takes a long time. This makes the method inefficient and very expensive. 摘要

近年来,电子文档已成为Web挖掘、信息检索、人工智能、自然语言处理等诸多研究领域的主要数据来源。文本处理对于处理来自网络的结构化或非结构化数据起着至关重要的作用。预处理是任何文本处理系统的主要步骤。一种重要的预处理技术是去除功能词,也称为停词,它会影响文本处理任务的性能。在所有的文本处理任务中都需要一种有效的停词去除技术。在本文中,我们提出了一种基于确定性有限自动机(DFA)的印地语停止词去除算法。现有的大量关于停词去除技术的研究都是基于包含停词表的字典。然后应用模式匹配技术,将匹配的模式从文档中删除,即停止词。这是一项耗时的任务,因为搜索过程需要很长时间。这使得该方法效率低下且非常昂贵。与此相比,我们的算法已经在200个文档上进行了测试,准确率达到了99%,而且非常省时。
