IDEOLOGI SEBAGAI CARA BERPIKIR DALAM MEMUNCULKAN KRISIS MORAL MELALUI KONTESTASI KEPRIBADIAN DUA TOKOH SENTRAL DALAM FILM DORIAN GRAY (2009)

Abstrak : Film merupakan media visual yang dapat menciptakan ruang-ruang diskusi baik yang bersifat formal maupun informal. Dalam lingkup sastra, kajian film dapat dikaji secara ilmiah dengan meneliti persoalan yang diangkat dengan didukung oleh unsur instrinsik dan ekstrinsik sastra yang terkandung di dalamnya. Dalam tulisan ini, film yang dijadikan bahan  kajian adalah Film Dorian Gray (2009) dengan topik bahasan ideologi sebagai cara berpikir yang dapat memunculkan krisis moral melalui kontestasi kepribadian dua tokoh sentral. Film ini dipilih karena secara signifikan menggambarkan krisis moral sebagai wujud dari cara berpikir seseorang, sehingga tujuan dari kajian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan hal  tersebut. Berdasarkan kajian yang bersifat kualitatif yang ditunjang dengan studi literatur terkait ideologi sebagai cara berpikir dan produksi makna melalui bahasa, hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa krisis moral dapat terjadi karena adanya pengaruh dari cara berpikir seseorang yang disampaikan melalui bahasa yang secara produktif memproduksi makna yang bersifat negatif, sehingga akhirnya memunculkan krisis moral tesebut. In the scope of literature, film studies can be studied scientifically by examining the issues raised supported by the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of literature contained therein. The film used as study material in this paper is Dorian Gray (2009) with the topic of ideology as a way of thinking that can lead to a moral crisis through the contestation of the personalities of two central characters. This film was chosen because it significantly depicts the moral crisis as a manifestation of one's way of thinking, so the purpose of this study is to demonstrate this. Based on a qualitative study supported by literature studies related to ideology as a way of thinking and producing meaning through language, the results of the study show that  moral crisis can occur because of the influence of a person's thinking that is conveyed through language which productively produces negative meanings, so that finally gave rise to that moral crisis.Keyword: central figure, ideology as a way of thinking, moral crisis, , personality
