Objective: to understand how panoramic radiography can help detect the diagnosis of osteoporosis. Methodology: the present study is an integrative review with data ex-tracted from LILACS, PUBMED and SCIELO m from 2011 to 2021. Results: the collected data show that panoramic radiography can help in the detection of osteoporosis, through indices can help in the diagnosis. The data also explain the importance of being aware of this pathology and its complications.
