In identification of implants previously inserted by other dentists radiography is essential. The radiographic images of 14 fixtures were analyzed and explained based on experimental exposures under standardized circumstances. In particular was the influence of different viewing angles due to rotational position of the fixture described. It is concluded that any of the metallic fixtures studied possesses macrostructures which will lead to a unique radiographic image making it possible to recognize it on radiographs.
