Broadband Dual-polarized Base Station Antenna with Stable Radiation Pattern
This paper proposes a broadband dual-polarized base station antenna with stable radiation performances in 2.3-4.3 GHz. The radiation surface is excited by two pairs of baluns, and its radiation performance can be effectively improved by changing the shape of the end of branch of the feeding line. According to the measured results, the designed antenna has a wide bandwidth of 60.6% from 2.3 GHz to 4.3 GHz with $\boldsymbol{> 14.5}$ dB return loss. Moreover, the isolation is greater than 27 dB, the antenna gain is around 8.5 dBi, half power beamwidth (HPBW) of the two polarizations are within 67. $\boldsymbol{6}^{\boldsymbol{\circ}}\pm \boldsymbol{2.5}^{\boldsymbol{\circ}}$, and the cross- polarization discrimination (XPD) is higher than 23 dB. It has a good application prospect in stations for 5G applications.
