INFORMS Steps up Policy Engagement

While the 2020 US presidential election, COVID-19, the economy and other fundamental societal questions are consuming much of the US' focus, INFORMS members are continuing to increase their impact through engagement with federal policymakers Though the pandemic and these other significant matters have expended much of the bandwidth of policymakers in recent months, attention is once again turning to other policy issues and sectors, and there is an increasing need for the diverse expertise INFORMS members can provide In July, INFORMS hosted a virtual briefing for INFORMS members on how to "Increase Your Impact through Policy Engagement " It outlines how INFORMS members can contribute their expertise and time by participating in briefings and events with and geared toward the policy community, as well as through the press
