Fourteen hydroponic substrates of mineral origin were evaluated, and mixtures of the same with the aim of selecting substrates that can satisfy the needs or objectives desired by the producer and allowing the consumer to know a fruit with a better quality reflected by its physicochemical properties such as yield, size, colour, total soluble solids (°Brix), titrated acidity, firmness, ethylene and CO2 production. Contribution Substrates such as tezontle, tepezil and coffee husk are favorable in the cultivation of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) type hydroponic saladette benefiting some of its quality parameters being the most feasible options for the producer and the consumer.
