The power converter system has been designed and built with standard commercially available components. Performance characteristics such as efficiency and regulation are studied for different temperatures from 25/spl deg/C down to -184/spl deg/C. CMOSICs, MOSFET switches and ultrafast diodes prove to be suited to operate in a wide temperature range.
