Fault monitoring for manned deep-sea submersibles has great significance for the safety of the pilots and equipment of submersibles. Based on an analysis of the existing fault monitoring methods and fault content of the manned deep-sea submersible JIAOLONG, faults actually occurred in JIAOLONG in the recent years are investigated in detail.
