Contribution of the Cadets of the Irkutsk Fire Technical School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR to Emergency Response Activities in the Baikal Region in 1960–1980

In this publication, on the basis of previously unpublished and not introduced into scientific circulation archival materials, the contribution of cadets of the Irkutsk Fire Technical School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR to emergency response activities on the territory of the Baikal region in 1960–1980 is investigated. The authors considered the issues of professional training of cadets, noted significant events in the fire protection activities of cadets. The article revealed the features of the educational process on the basis of the school, which allowed to form a professional staff of firefighters in the region.
