As EU countries approved the 2035 phaseout of CO2-emitting cars, electric vehicle technology is going to be predominant for passenger cars. More and more electric vehicle supply equipment will be installed across the countries and, as they are measurement instruments, they will need to be metrologically verified periodically. This paper deals with the realization and testing of field equipment for metrological verification of the metering subsystem inside electric vehicle supply equipment. The test equipment has been realized and tested at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" (Aversa, Italy), and it has been used to accurately estimate the energy absorbed by a battery electric vehicle during some recharge sessions.
