[Atypical computed tomographic appearance of herpes simplex encephalitis].

In cases of herpes simplex encephalitis, a low density lesion in the temporal lobe is a common CT finding, whereas hemorrhagic lesion is rarely observed on CT in this disorder despite the frequent occurrence on pathologic studies.
