For this reason, this paper proposes a new type of intelligent medicine box controlled by the Internet. It provides a low temperature environment for storing certain medicines, and is aimed for elderly people at home. The system includes a smart medicine box, cloud server and mobile APP. An STM32F407 microcontroller is used for smart medicine box control, which runs PID algorithm and outputs PWM signal to control a thermoelectric cooler to generate a low temperature set by the users. Medicine information database and the operating status log files are stored in a cloud server. The mobile APP can get and display information such as the operation status or medicine in the box from the cloud server, and has functions such as medicine management and abnormal alarm, etc. A touch screen is used for control and management while offline. This intelligent medicine box uses a work-sleep mode to achieve low-energy operations. The paper also introduced the structure of cold cell which can reduce the temperature loss caused by heat transfer in thermoelectric cooler module.
