In the practical application of on-line monitoring system for high voltage equipment, it is necessary to install leakage current sensors to measure the leakage current. Because of the leakage current is a weak signal, we usually need to design a magnetic field concentrator to amplify the measured signal which used on leakage current sensor based on Hall effect or magneto-resistance effect, in order to improve the sensitivity. This paper designed different kinds of magnetic field concentrator by focusing on two typical application scenarios: hollow steel column and grounding bar. The optimal structural design is put forward by simulation analysis.
