He is cofounder of Waze, the world’s largest community-based driving traffic and navigation app, which Google acquired for $1.1 billion in 2013. He’s also a former investor and board member in Moovit, which Intel acquired for $1 billion in 2020. His vision is building startups that are doing good and doing well, focusing on solving problems, and changing the world for the better. He has been in the high-tech business for the last 40 years, more than half of the time in the startup scene. He has served as co-founder, chair, or board member of Pontera (formerly FeeX), FairFly, SeeTree, Fibo, Dynamo, and Kahun.Jim EuchnerJim Euchner is editor-in-chief of Research-Technology Management and Honorary Professor at Aston University (UK). He previously held senior management positions in innovation leadership at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Pitney Bowes, and Bell Atlantic. He holds BS and MS degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Cornell and Princeton Universities, respectively, and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
