Phthalocyanines incorporated into solubilization/monomerization systems are photosensitizing substances used in PDT, even given their high hydrophobicity. Its inhibitory capacity against microorganisms and its photodynamic action against various cancer cell lines have made it the protagonist of several scientific articles.
