Concordance Between Children's and Parents' Assessment of the Level of Intelligence
This research was performed in the first semester of the school year 2018-2019 and we used two groups, one made up of 40 children in the third grade at “Alexandru Costescu” Middle School, in Bucharest, and one group of 40 parents. In order to evaluate multiple intelligence and to point out levels and types of intelligence perceived by children and their parents, we used a “Questionnaire on how to assess your child’s intelligence” and a “Questionnaire on how to identify students’ skills and abilities”. After gathering and analysing the data, we noticed that there is a good consistency between the parents’ assessment of the children and the children’s self assessment regarding the classification in the right type of intelligence. The above mentioned results made us conclude that parents’ support when it comes to extracurricular activities help children grow by having dominant intelligence and predispositions in the centre of their evolution.
