In this intervention study, volunteers received 50 mL of 100% bio commercial SBJ every day for 4-week period. Anthropometric and biochemical parameters were monitored before and after 4 weeks of consumption of SBJ. Body composition was determined using an multifrequency analyzer InBody720. Routine biochemical analyzes were performed by standard methods in an accredited laboratory of the University Hospital by automatic biochemical analyzer BioMajesty JCA-BM6010/C. Supplementation with 100% SBJ increased high-density cholesterol (P <0.05) and decreased low-density cholesterol (P >0.05). There was also a positive decrease in the LDL-C/HDL-C ratio (P <0.01) and C-reactive protein (P <0.001). We observed a significant weight loss (P <0.05), body fat (P <0.01), body mass index (P <0.05) and visceral fat area (P <0.01).
