The system considerably reduces the quantity of power electronic power switches to twenty-one so as to create fifteen level three phase output, whereas conventional structures require higher number of power devices. Higher number of power switches leads to increased distortion, losses and cost. The recommended circuit gives better response, higher efficiency, reduced cost, high reliability and fault tolerance.
