Au nanostructures have been synthesized by using a simple seed mediated growth method. The synthesized Au nanostructures exhibited uniform spherical morphology with average diameter ~20 nm, confirmed by FESEM analysis. The synthesized nanostructures were further used to form nanocomposites with Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF). The synthesized Au nanospheres as well as Au nanospheres/PVDF nanocomposites were tested for breath analysis. The nanocomposite materials were found to sense breath and uniform breathing patterns were generated. During breathing over sensor, voltage gets generated.
