It also identifies some promising research opportunities for future scholars.</p><!--/ Abstract__block -->\n<h3>Practical implications</h3>\n<p>The paper offers practical implications for various stakeholders who are affected by or involved in fake news dissemination, such as brands, consumers and policymakers.
