Digital literacy is needed by parents in accompanying children in this digital generation. The use of gadgets and the internet has become a necessity for children to learn, and perhaps in everyday life it has become commonplace for gadgets to be given to children. However, not all parents have good digital literacy skills. In fact, children are said to be more digitally literate than parents. This is an important problem for children's development, especially if parents do not monitor the activities of the devices/gadgets used by children.
