SPORT VALUES AND PERSONAL TRAITS AMONG THE ATHLETES OF IRAQI NATIONAL TEAMS

The subject of values is considered as one of the significant topics in psychology because it was determinants of the behavior of the human , and therefore got the attention of many scientists and researchers . The research aims at : 1. Identifying the level of sport values for the athletes of Iraqi national teams.2. Identifying the level of personal trait for the athletes of Iraqi national teams.3. Identifying the relationship between sport value and personal traits for the athletes of Iraqi national teams.The research use the descriptive approach. The sample of study was (734) Olympic and non-Olympic Games athletes, the study instrument was conducted on( 120) athletes selected from some different sports.In light of the research results, the researchers concluded that:1.The athletes of Iraqi national teams enjoy high positive sport values.2.The athletes of Iraqi national teams enjoy high positive personal trait .3.There is apositive correlation between sport value and personal traits among the athletes of Iraqi teams.
