The GRASP mnemonic (Genetics, Retrieval, Anaesthetics, Stimulation, Pregnancy) is introduced to facilitate a thorough risk assessment process. The review emphasizes the importance of obtaining detailed medical histories, corroborating information from other healthcare providers, and involving maternal medicine specialists in pre-pregnancy counselling. Furthermore, it highlights the ethical considerations of informed consent, advocating for fertility specialists to take a central role in coordinating care and ensuring patient understanding of risks.
