Various non‐aqueous solvents such as organic solvents, ionic liquids, and pressurized carbon dioxide (CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>) have been employed for lipase‐catalyzed reactions. Notably, pressurized CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> (supercritical CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>, liquid CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>, CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>‐expanded liquid) serves as a functional green solvent.
