A practical option is presented to form financial models of commercializing the result of an innovative project to create a software and hardware complex (PAC) for automated visual inspection control (VIC) of boilers of thermal power plants (TPPs). The research is based on the principles of the formation of financial models for the commercialization of R&amp;D results. A sales plan as the volume of services provided for the inspection of TPP equipment and an operation schedule with account for the potential PAC capabilities are proposed, and the price of the service is justified. The cost of a flight hour of operation of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is taken as a unit of service. The efficiency of R&amp;D investments has been calculated considering the profit that ensures the payback of the project.
