After an intrathecal baclofen pump malfunction with meningitis and medication withdrawal, a 17-year-old adolescent with quadriparetic cerebral palsy and paroxysmal autonomic instability experienced relief of refractory pain and dystonia with an in-home intravenous dexmedetomidine infusion.
