The surface and structure morphology of Py@PIM was detected using thermogravimetric analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Donnan dialysis system was also used to assess the transport efficacy of Py@PIM towards 5 heavy metals (Co, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb). The results show that according to the kinetic coefficient, the order is Pb > Ni > Co > Cd > Cu.
