Of the 50 patients, 88% were pain-free following orchidopexy, and 12% had an improvement in their pain. There were no cases of hydrocoele or haematoma in this series. To our knowledge, this is the largest series reported in the literature.</p>\n </section>\n \n <section>\n \n <h3> Conclusions</h3>\n \n <p>Elective bilateral orchidopexy prevents torsion and preserves testicular viability. Pain is resolved in most but not all cases.
