The specific staining with aldehyde fuchsin of metallophilic cells diffusely distributed throughout the cortex during the regeneration clearly demonstrated that these cells were identical with aldehyde fuchsin-positive metallophilic cells in the cortico-medullary zone of the normal rat thymus.
