The result showed that 276 (26.8%) patients had escaping behavior. The patients with paranoid schizophrenia had higher rate of escaping behavior. There was no correlation being found between sex, age, duration of illness, and escaping behavior. The patients with the history of such behavior were more likely to escape from ward (41.9%).
