[[Population and women: a study of sex ratios in population and gender differentials in demographic and social participation]].

Data on women's socioeconomic status and fertility in selected countries are analyzed and compared. The author notes "the existence of some very tenacious discriminatory practices against women in the access to economic and social activities.... In some cases, discrimination prevents women from an access to their survival and health.
