This rare disease is caused by the arrest of myocardial morphogenesis. The classical triad of complications are heart failure, arrhythmias, including sudden cardiac death, and systemic embolic events. There is a paucity of data regarding women with left ventricular noncompaction cardiomyopathy and pregnancy outcome.
